François Roca was born in Lyon in 1971. He attended the National School of Applied Arts Olivier de Serres in Paris, in the Image and Communication department, and then Emile Cohl’s School to study illustration.
In 1996, he started accomplishing illustrations for children : The Queen of Ants has disappeared, based on a text by his friend Fred Bernard . Francois Roca illustrated more than 20 books. He regularly collaborates with the news magazine Télérama.
Francois Roca drew the face of a little boy : his painting is simple yet very expressive.
