Rebecca Dautremer was born in 1971 in Gap, in the South of France. She attended classes in the ENSAD in Paris, and graduated in graphic edition in 1995. She then became illustrator.
Rebecca lives in Paris with her husband Taï-Marc Le Thanh and their three children, and has illustrated over 30 books for children, including "L'Amoureux" in 2003, which she wrote, and "Cyrano" in 2005, written by her husband. She was the art director of the animated movie "Kerity - la maison des Contes", released in 2009. Her experience also includes work for advertising and costume design.
Rebecca’s drawing is on the second page of the Sketchtravel book, right after the table of index by Robert Kondo, but she was the first page for a long time. She started to sketch it in a hotel in San Francisco, and painted parts of her drawing in a restaurant while having her breakfast.
